System Professional (Sys Pro) is an IT Managed Services and Consultancy practice with offices in London and the South. Pinnacle was recommended to Sys Pro by a common denominator – Filofax – who used Pinnacle for their telecommunications and Sys Pro for their IT project needs.
Sys Pro’s main objectives when approaching Pinnacle were:
- Streamline communications
- Track calls using Salesforce
- Enable employees to work remotely
- Increase resilience and reduce costs
Pinnacle upgraded Sys Pro to an Avaya IP Office 500 telephone system with Small Community Networking as this allows the offices to work as one. Calls between sites are considered internal and employees can log in with their extension, access their voicemail and the telephone directory wherever they are.
Video softphones in the form of laptops, tablets and/or desk phones were suggested as a way of enabling employees to work remotely while a Salesforce plugin was installed to allow users to call from the Salesforce database.
As their customers rely on Sys Pro for IT Support at all times, the reliability of the upgraded system was vitally important. Pinnacle therefore installed the telephone system in Sys Pro’s data centre, where it would be unaffected by potential power cuts at the offices and would be easily accessible should there be any issues.
