Requirements
- Completely separate billing for residents and the admin office
- SIP – call savings and resilience
Royal Star and Garter provide retirement homes for the elderly and were relocating to a new home in Solihull near Birmingham. The home provides over 200 rooms for independent residents and Pinnacle was asked to install and maintain a new phone system.
A key requirement was to have a separate system for the residents for billing and fault purposes. The IP Office 500 system was selected to provide this and for its flexibility.
SIP lines were installed in conjunction with the ISDN lines to offer both resilience and call cost savings. Outgoing calls are being made over SIP allowing residents to benefit from the lower call rates.
