Gasol PLC case study

Requirements
- Remote user capability
- International call savings
- One point of contact
Gasol plc is an independent oil and gas exploration company, established in 2006, with a core focus on liquid natural gas companies in West and Central Africa.
Pinnacle was recommended by Gasol’s sister company Afren with whom Pinnacle had a successful business relationship. Pinnacle was chosen to install a new system in their new Bond Street offices.
Gasol required a larger phone system to cope with their rapid growth; one that met the company’s international communication requirements, while also reducing the overall call costs of the company.
Pinnacle installed an IP Office 406 which catered for the 25 people in their new offices and allowed for company expansion. The remote user capability installed with it, allowed employees to work away from their office phone while retaining the same services they had within the office, such as their phone book, DDI and voicemail access. In addition, mobile twinning was installed, allowing calls to be taken on mobile phones and switched back to the desktop phone
Call savings were made by cutting out roaming charges and regularly monitoring Gasol’s call plan their calls used the most cost effective provider. A video conferencing facility, to reduce the call costs to the Nigerian office, was also installed. Cabling and phones lines were installed cheaply and hi speed internet cost reductions were also achieved.
Overall, the install ran smoothly and was completed within a tight 5 week schedule. Gasol commented,
“Pinnacle should all be proud of delivering outstanding Customer Service. Pinnacle were attentive to our needs, and are highly responsive, charging prices that are fair and completely reasonable”.
Pinnacle’s unique style of management was able to provide a one point of contact for Gasol’s cabling, phone system, conferencing, Internet Connection, BT and door entry.
We have also recently installed SIP lines which have reduced the cost to call Nigeria to less than a UK mobile.
